The Pond Gnome has a staff of trained pond professionals with years of experience and education in caring for ecosystem water features. They wear company uniforms and are outfitted in clean, well-maintained vehicles carrying all of the tools and products necessary to handle situations involving living water features located in the Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Glendale, AZ areas.
Honestly, if you have a little sterile-water cement bowl, we suggest you find a handyman in your area for any repairs you might need.
Inspection Of Existing Pond Or Water Feature
For new clients whose pond or water feature was not built by The Pond Gnome, and that we have not had the privilege of visiting previously, we charge $315 for an initial Inspection. This price includes the first hour on-site for a Pond Pro to map out the water feature, as well as effect any requested repairs if possible and/or perform service. Additional time on site will be charged at $160 per man-hour.
This service also includes a complete reverse-engineering of the water feature as much as possible to make sure we fully understand everything going on. There are literally hundreds of ways to build a “pond,” and there are many contractors (both licensed and unlicensed) installing them. Our Pond Pros are trained to find out everything we need to know to provide service to you and make intelligent customized recommendations for your unique situation.
Once the Assessment has been performed, we will have a completed database with your pond’s information for future reference.
During this initial visit, a trained, experienced, and insured Pond Pro will service the water feature and effect repairs if requested and if possible. The Pond Gnome may then make certain recommendations about improvements, repairs, or maintenance that our Pond Pro feels would be of benefit to you for the long-term enjoyment of your water feature.
On-site Service, Monday-Friday
A service call with a trained, skilled Pond Pro for existing clients starts at $160 per hour, with a one-hour minimum.
Emergency Calls
Emergency service calls start at $325 per hour, with a one-hour minimum. Our Platinum Program clients are provided with an emergency phone number that is monitored 24/7/365. However, we do not at this time offer emergency evening & weekend coverage outside of our Platinum Pond Management Program.

For any service visit, we will need access to be open if no one will be home, and all pets safely secured away from the work area. We also require that all pet waste is removed from the ingress and egress access — we cannot wade through poo and then get into your pond, or track it to our next destination. We also suggest that you relocate any beloved nick-nacks away from the work area so they are not inadvertently damaged by our efforts. We will not be responsible for replacing or repairing such items.
We do request a credit card in advance to guarantee the appointment, which will not be charged until the service has been performed. If, in the meantime, you manage to effect repairs on your own, please let us know so that we don’t show up anyway, as that may result in a service charge on your credit card for the drive time and effort.
